The BECoME-2025 Conference is scheduled to take place from 19th to 23rd August 2025 at City University of Hong Kong, bringing together esteemed speakers from over 15 countries and regions, including Australia, China (Mainland), Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, the UK, and the US.

During the conference, the GEM Programme will present a report titled “Findings from the GEM Programme: PPCPs Pollution in Global Estuaries,” delivered by Dr. Chong Chen. This report (O9, Session 9) is set for 15:00 on 20th August at Li-1614. Expect insights on the research summary and a review of Phase One over the past five years, with a focus on recent advancements and the latest outcome regarding the analysis of PPCPs pollution concentrations in global estuarine samples. Furthermore, details about the progress and outlook of Phase Two, encompassing ecotoxicity research and the development of the passive sampling method, will also be shared.

Additionally, Ms. Ruolan Jia, a PhD student in the GEM Team, will be presenting a poster (P7) on ecotoxicity research within the GEM Programme framework. We invite you to visit her poster during the event.
