The 2023 East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum, themed on Harmonious Coexistence in the Ocean Decade, was held from 27 June to 29 June in Qingdao, China. Chong Chen, a postdoc on behalf of GEM Team, participated in the Forum on International Cooperation of Young Ocean Scientists, and gave a report on the Global Estuaries Monitoring (GEM) Programme. A panel discussion named Vision for UN Ocean Decade was held, and the liaison mechanism for young scientists in the Ocean Decade was established.
